In short: Every focus session makes Morgenrutine a little smarter: which days, which times and what came just before lead to the best homework.

What Morgenrutine learns

Each step done with the focus timer is saved with the time, weekday, how long it took, what came just before (school, sport or a break) and the mood that was chosen. Each session gets a score from the mood – Good counts most, Hard least – and whether the step was done without taking much longer than planned.

After about ten focus sessions, the card When do you do best? appears at the bottom of Homework. Until then, the card shows how many sessions are left.

How to read the card

The card When do you do best? with the best and hardest weekday and situation and two tips
The percentage is the average score for the sessions in that group.
  • Best … – e.g. Best on Tuesdays or Best after a break: what most often goes well.
  • Hardest … – the time or situation where it's most often hard.
  • Suggestions: e.g. moving Thursday's slot to a better time with the Move the slot button – or that a type of homework takes longer than planned, so the steps can be adjusted.
  • Tips: a few habits chosen from your patterns.

Good habits

The tips below the insights come from this list:

  • Same time every day – so the homework slot becomes a habit, not a decision.
  • A break first – a snack and a 15-minute break after school or sport.
  • The first small step – get the book out and read the task. The rest comes more easily.
  • The hard step first – while you're fresh.
  • Phone in another room – while the timer runs.
  • A Sunday look – look at the week's homework on Sunday, then there are no surprises.

Who can see it?

The insights belong to the person. Parents in the family can see the children's insights; children can't see anyone else's.
