What's for dinner tonight? The answer is already in your day.
Choose a dish and a cook for each evening. The cook gets the cooking as a routine with steps, everyone else gets dinner in their day, and if someone has football at mealtime, you see it before you set the table.

Three steps from “what's for dinner?” to food on the table
- Write down your dishes
Start with five dishes you make often. Only the name is needed. Time, steps, recipe and preparations can come later.
- Plan the week
Choose a dish, mealtime and cook for each evening, or fill the week with last week's menu, your fixed dishes or the family favourites.
- The meal plan puts it in your day
The cook gets “Make lasagne (4 servings)” with the steps as activities, and everyone eating gets “Dinner: Lasagne”.
Football at 17:00? Then Oliver eats at 18:45.
The meal plan looks at your routines, appointments and driving. If something overlaps mealtime, it shows on the meal with a suggestion, and the cook is told to save a serving.
- Eating later, eating out, packed meal or not home
- A warning if the cook has to drive in the middle of cooking
- Guests count towards the servings
- A new conflict after planning notifies the parents

Wishes, cooking days and pocket money.
The children see this week's menu and can wish for dishes. If a child is the cook or a helper, they get the cooking in their day, and the cooking day can count as a chore with pocket money.
- Up to 2 wishes at a time, from the dishes or typed in
- “You're cooking on Thursday” at the top of the child's view
- The cooking day is approved under Chores, like other chores
- “I'm not eating with you” notifies the parents

The recipe is ready. The meat is thawed.
A dish can have its recipe as text, a link or a PDF, and steps with minutes for the cook. Preparations like “Take the meat out of the freezer” are added as an activity in the morning routine.
- Text, link or PDF up to 10 MB
- Steps become activities to tick off
- Preparation in the morning or the evening before
- Labels like fish and nuts warn those who avoid them
For the busy evenings
Sports evenings
When half the family gets home at 18:30, the plan already shows who eats later, and the cook knows how many servings to save.
Two homes
If a child is with the other parent, set “Not home”, and the child gets no dinner in their day that evening.
Allergies and taste
Note what each person avoids. The meal plan warns you when a dish contains it, so you don't have to remember.
Where do you do what with the meal plan?
Plan and collect the dishes
The meal plan, the dishes and the settings are in the web app. This is where the parents plan the week and the children wish for dishes.
- The week's meal plan with drag and drop
- Dishes with recipe, steps and preparations
- Fixed dishes, mealtimes and reminders
Follow the day
The cooking and dinner are ordinary routines, so they show up in the day in the iOS app and on Apple TV, and the steps can be ticked off.
- The cook's routine with steps
- Dinner in each person's day
- Reminders as notifications

No. The owner and parents plan. Children with their own login see this week's menu, can wish for dishes and can opt out of a meal.
No. A dish can be just a name. Steps and a recipe make the cook's routine more helpful, but they aren't required.
No. The meal plan is about what you eat, who cooks and who's eating. The recipe can sit with the dish as text, a link or a PDF.
