Add homework

Create a piece of homework with subject, deadline, and a difficulty in story points — no minute-guessing required.

Web appiOS appUpdated September 15, 2026

In short: go to Homework, tap “New homework”, choose a subject and date, and set a difficulty in story points.

Before you start

No setup is strictly necessary, but homework becomes much faster to use once you've set up an active school timetable — then Morgenrutine can suggest both subject and date automatically.

Step by step

  1. Go to Homework and tap “New homework”

With an active timetable, choose the subject from a dropdown, filled in automatically from the timetable. Without one, type the subject as free text.

  2. Choose a date

If the chosen subject has upcoming scheduled days, the nearest ones are suggested automatically as shortcuts. Otherwise, pick a custom date.

  3. Write an optional description

    What the homework involves.

  4. Set the difficulty with a story point

1, 3, 5, 13, or 21 (default is 3) — the higher the number, the bigger the task.

  5. Save the homework

It now shows up in the list, sorted by date.

Good advice

  • Set up your school timetable first. It makes creating new homework noticeably faster, because subject and date are suggested automatically instead of being typed each time.
  • Use story points consistently. It becomes easier to judge a day's total homework load at a glance, instead of having to read every item.
