Feature · Homework & Timetable

The school day, in the same place as the rest of everyday life.

“What do I have today?” is one of the most-asked questions in a family with kids in the morning. Set up each child's weekly timetable once, and the subjects show up automatically in the day overview — alongside homework, the morning routine, and driving.

How it works

Ready before the evening begins

  1. Set up the school timetable

Subjects, times, and breaks for each day of the week, per child. Switch easily between several children's timetables with the user picker.

  2. Add homework

Choose a subject, deadline, and a difficulty in story points (1, 3, 5, 13, 21) instead of a guessed number of minutes.

  3. See it all in the day overview

Today's subjects and homework show up automatically alongside the rest of the family's routines — no separate platform to remember.

Homework

No more guessing how long it takes

“How long will that homework take?” is hard to answer precisely — and not really what matters. Your child instead judges whether a piece of homework is small or big, with a simple number. Deadline sets the order, and overdue, forgotten homework disappears from the active list on its own.

  • Difficulty in story points instead of guessed minutes
  • Sorted by deadline
  • Cleans up finished items on its own
  • Goes hand in hand with the school timetable

Questions

About homework & timetable

Because it's hard to judge a piece of homework precisely in minutes, but easy to judge it relatively: is it a small or a big task? Story points give a quick, intuitive judgement without false precision.

It's automatically hidden from the active list, so it doesn't clutter it up, but without deleting the history.

They're two separate features, but support each other: with an active timetable, Morgenrutine automatically suggests both the subject and relevant dates when you add new homework.
