In short: set a sleep goal under the family member's settings, mark the day's first and last routine in Routines, and see the calculated sleep on the day overview.
Before you start
The calculation needs no extra recording in everyday life — it builds on the routines you've already created. The only setup needed is a sleep goal and which routines mark the day's start and end.
Step by step
- Go to Settings → Family → [family member]
Every accepted family member can see and edit each other's sleep settings.
- Set a sleep goal and times
Fill in desired sleep in hours, plus a usual wake-up and bedtime. Optionally set a weekend drift in minutes.
- Save the sleep settings
Always set both the hour and minute in the time fields before saving — otherwise the change may not be recorded correctly.
- Mark the first and last routine
Open the morning routine in Routines and tick “First routine of the day”, and do the same on the evening routine with “Last routine of the day”.
See and correct actual sleep
On the Doing page you'll see a sleep overview with planned and actual bedtime/wake time, for both the night before and the night after the selected date. Actual sleep is recorded automatically when the marked last/first routine is checked off — but can always be corrected manually with the pencil icon on the sleep pill, if something was forgotten or recorded incorrectly.
Good advice
- Without a first/last routine, there's no calculation. It's the whole basis for Morgenrutine being able to work out possible sleep.
- Always correct both time segments. If you only change one of the hour/minute fields in a bedtime field, the change risks not saving correctly.
- The weekend drift applies to the whole family. It can't be set differently per family member, only for Friday and Saturday night.
If the calculation looks wrong
Check these two things:
- Are the first and last routines marked correctly on the routine template itself, not just on a single day's version?
- Were both time segments (hour and minute) set the last time you edited the sleep settings?
Morgenrutine never changes your routine times automatically — the calculation is only a basis for the conversation. If something still isn't as expected, write to us.
