Feature · Sleep

Does your everyday life actually leave room for enough sleep?

Bedtime is one of the most emotionally charged discussions in many families with kids. Morgenrutine turns it into a shared, visible number instead of a lecture: based on your own morning and evening routines, it automatically calculates how much sleep there's room for — and you see planned and actual sleep side by side.

How it works

Calculated from your own routines

  1. Set a sleep goal

Choose a desired number of hours, or a fixed wake-up and bedtime, for each family member.

  2. Mark the day's first and last routine

Morgenrutine uses the routines you've marked as the day's first and last to work out when the night starts and ends.

  3. See planned and actual sleep, side by side

Actual sleep is recorded automatically when the marked routine is checked off — and can always be corrected manually. Weekend nights have a built-in drift, so a later bedtime doesn't count as a problem.

A visible, data-driven number

No extra form to fill in

The calculation is a basis for conversation, not an automatic fix — Morgenrutine never changes your routine times itself. You can always correct a recorded time manually on the day overview if something happened differently than planned.

About sleep

From the routines you've marked as “first routine of the day” and “last routine of the day”. The night is counted as the time between when the last routine ends in the evening and when the first routine starts the next morning.

No. The calculation is only a basis and a way of making things visible — the app never changes your routine times automatically.

Possible sleep is what your current routines theoretically leave room for. Actual sleep is what really happened — recorded automatically on check-off, or corrected manually.

Not yet — it's deliberately been launched on the web app first.
