In short: go to Appointments, click “+ New appointment” in the person's column, fill in a name, time, and optional location, and save.
Before you start
No setup needed. If you've saved the family's fixed addresses, you can pick them directly as a location when creating an appointment, instead of typing the address every time.
Step by step
- Go to Appointments and find the person's column
Every family member has their own column.
- Click “+ New appointment”
Give the appointment an icon and a name — the only required fields.
- Add location, date, and time
Search for an address or pick a saved one, and set the start and end time.
- Turn on a reminder if relevant
Tick “Send notification”, so the family member gets a push message and/or email.
- Click “Save appointment”
The appointment now shows up as a card in the person's column, sorted by date.

Approve changes from Google Calendar
If the family member has connected their Google Calendar, and an appointment is later changed there, a yellow banner shows up on the appointment card: “Changed in Google Calendar”. Click Approve to bring in the change, or Dismiss to keep the appointment as it stands.
Good advice
- Use Appointments for one-off things. Fixed, recurring things belong under Routines instead.
- Edit or delete right on the card. Click an existing appointment to open the same dialog with “Update appointment”, or use the bin icon to delete it.
- Scan across the columns. It's the fastest way to spot conflicts between family members on the same day.
