In short: a child with their own login presses “Wish for a dish” in this week's menu. You place the wish on a day or decline it. If you choose a child as cook or helper, you can turn on “Counts as a chore” and set an amount.
How children see the meal plan

Children see “This week's menu” with dishes, times and who is cooking. They can't change anything. If the child has a cooking day this week, it's shown at the top, e.g. “You're cooking on Thursday”, with when to start and a link to the recipe.
Wish for a dish
- Press Wish for a dish
The button is under Your wishes in the child's view of the meal plan.
- Choose or type
Choose from the dishes, or type your own, e.g. “Fish fingers with mash”. Dishes that don't exist yet are created by the parents.
- Send wish
The parents are notified. The wish shows “Waiting for an answer” until it's placed or declined.
A child can have 2 open wishes at a time. When a wish is on the menu or declined, the child can wish again. The status is shown under Your wishes: “Waiting for an answer”, “On the menu Thursday” or “Not this time”.
Place or decline a wish
Open wishes are shown at the top of the meal plan under Wishes. Press Place to put the wish on the first empty evening, or drag it to a specific day. Decline notifies the child. Wishes also come first when you choose a dish in the meal panel, and as suggestions on empty days.
The meal gets the label “Oliver's wish”, and the child is told which day the dish is on the menu.
Cooking day and helper
Choose the child as cook or helper in the meal panel. If the child is the cook, the meal says “Cooking day”. The child gets the cooking as a routine in their day with the dish's steps as activities, just like an adult cook.
Pocket money for the cooking day
- When a child is the cook or a helper, the panel shows “Counts as a chore”. Turn it on and set the amount. The default is 20 kr for the cook and 10 kr for a helper.
- When the child has ticked off all the steps, the cooking day waits for approval under Chores, like other chores.
- If you approve it, the amount is added to the child's balance. If the child unticks a step before you approve, the approval disappears again.
