In short: go to Settings → Meal plan. Changes are saved right away and apply to the whole family. Only the owner and parents can change the settings.
Meals and mealtimes
- Dinner is on by default. The time is the mealtime new meals get.
- Breakfast and lunch are light: they show in the meal plan as a small row per day, without an eating routine. If the meal has a cook, the cook still gets a routine.
- Mealtime per weekday: press Adjust if, for example, you eat at 18:30 on Fridays. An empty field uses the default time.
- Meal duration is how long “Dinner” stays in the day, e.g. 30 min.
Fixed dishes
Choose a dish per weekday, e.g. tacos on Fridays. Fixed dishes are shown as suggestions on the day and are not added automatically. To add them for the whole week, press Use fixed dishes under Quick fill in the meal plan.
Reminders
Reminders are sent to the owner and parents as notifications in the iOS app.
- Plan next week: choose a day and time, e.g. Sunday 17:00. The message only comes if next week has no dinners.
- What are you having tonight?: if today's dinner isn't planned at that time, 15:00 by default, you get a message with three suggestions from fixed dishes, wishes and favourites.
The cook also gets a message when it's time to start cooking.
Avoids and packed lunches
- Avoids: choose what each person avoids: fish, nuts, gluten, lactose, pork or meat. The meal plan warns you, e.g. “Emma avoids fish”, when a dish has that label. It doesn't change anything by itself.
- Packs own lunch: for children. If the child is set to Packed meal, the child gets “Pack lunch” in their own morning routine. Otherwise, the parent who planned the meal gets “Pack lunch for Oliver”.
